The smallest-diameter drums in the series, LP designed Timbalitos on the basis of a close study of the sounds Tito Puente produced. Recognizing that shell composition is the key to an authentic cascara and complex harmonics from the heads, LP employs the same phosphor bronze which is used in cymbals. The new shell is thicker than in previous models producing more bite and warmth. Rimshots are more resonant and the dynamic range achieved with sticks or fingers is wider. Includes a heavy-duty, height-adjustable tilting stand, cowbell bracket, pair of sticks, and tuning wrench.
