A collaborative effort by LP's design team and famed groove percussionist Bashiri Johnson, it is ergonomically designed and made from high-impact plastic for durability and long life. The shape is derived from the LP Cyclops Tambourine to play tambourine-type patterns. A center grip has been added so the shaker can be played on its side for a variety of sounds. The sound of the large model may be varied by opening and closing the spring-loaded shaker halves. By hitting the large shaker against your free hand, an extra rhythmic pop is added as the shaker halves hit together. Or play it as a regular shaker by turning the locking screws for a fixed sound. The small shaker produces a bright, fixed sound and is perfect for use in the studio, for singers, and for younger players.
